Petey’s Back Story
I had to wait until I was 30 to get my first dog, Dance. Grew up in bucolic Bethel, Connecticut, home of P.T. Barnum. Landed at Emerson College, then moved to New York City, earning my MFA & becoming Director of Communications at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. After my partner's passing, I embarked on a 12-year global odyssey in non-profit cultural communications. Nine years later, I made a 180-degree turn, leaving NYC for the seaside hamlet of Newburyport. I love my adopted community; I volunteer at AJH, sit on Newburyport’s Public Art Committee & the Steering Committee of NBPT DOCU FEST.
